As part of Asset Based Financing, Real Estate Structured Finance Germany is the center of competence for large and/or complex real estate financings of the German market. We are offering financings for a wide range of asset classes on a single asset or portfolio basis. Loan instruments include traditional mortgage loans as well as development loans. In addition, we are offering corporate style loan instruments such as unsecured facilities and bridge financings (e.g., in the context of corporate acquisitions). What you'll be doing
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated deal captain for our Structured Real Estate Finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions, and a proven track record of deal structuring and business development. A key focus of this role will be on the origination and execution of deals/transactions across debt markets and other RE related product areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Structuring, origination and execution of complex bilateral as well as syndicated RE transactions ensuring the delivery of high-quality financing solutions to our clients
- Prepare and perform pitch presentations for financing lead mandates in the RE sector
- Self-contained performance of credit & financial analysis including build-up of financial models, development of appropriate financing structures, and preparation & presentation of internal credit applications
- Negotiate and coordinate the process of the transaction documentation
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
- Good university degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field from a recognized institution. Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 3-year experience in investment banking / corporate finance or related/comparable area and ideally worked in a RE-/RE-related team for at least 5 years
- Proven track record in the origination and execution of real estate transactions
- Excellent analytical and financial structuring skills, with a keen attention to detail
- Strong presentation, negotiation, process management & communication skills
- Solid knowledge of real estate market including appraisal and valuation know-how
- Strong team player with an independent, responsible and diligent way of working
- Fluent in German, strong command of English
